My Book Of Polygons!

This activity goes along with my Geometry Unit.  Here is a freebie.  I forgot to post it on Friday.  Better late than never.

You can download this activity at my TPT store. Thanks!

Polygon Power Project!

I just finished a project that goes along with my Geometry unit we will be working on this up coming week.  We read the story "The Greedy Triangle" by Marilyn Burns.  To review and explore different polygons we made real life objects that represent different polygons. Please Click the link below to purchase on my TPT website.  Thanks!!!

My students really enjoyed reading this book.  The triangle
changes into different shapes by adding sides until he can't
take it anymore and the triangle just wants to be itself.

My students did a great job at choosing things
that were made of many polygons.

Included in this packet is the project along with a Polygon
Concentration game. To purchase click the link below.

Black History Month Activities

I had so much fun covering prominent African American figures in history this month.  I love it when I'm teaching and I learn something new as well.  Amy Lemons embodies the word creativity.  She came up with these cool activities that were fun and easy for the children in my class to complete after learning about African American Heroes.  Since then I've been a follower of her site.  Here are a few pics of what my kiddies did.  Enjoy!

My students are so creative.  Look how she embellished her lips and eyes! Adorable

This was The Rosa Parks Activity.  These cute buses were hung
above my bulletin board.  I made them a little bigger to stand out.

Thanks again Amy Lemons for your creativity.  You were a life saver!

First Blog Post Ever !!!

This is my first blog post and I'm so excited to begin this fun and exciting journey of blogging.  This past month we've been working on multiplication and my kiddies have been doing a great job.  Next week we will be starting division, however they still need that old school drill and practice everyday.  I've decided to  make March Multiplication centers with a St. Patricks Day theme.  Please click the link to purchase on my TpT webpage.  Enjoy!!!
